Screen Resolution Test
Understand exposed screen and viewport dimensions.
Visual inspection only. No pixels are read from your physical panel. Gamma patterns are uncalibrated visual references; zoom and scaling affect them. Fullscreen is optional. If unavailable, expanded view keeps browser controls visible. Use the exit button or Escape to leave.
CSS/logical dimensions and DPR do not prove physical panel resolution
How to use this test
- Choose Read screen dimensions and compare screen values with the viewport.
- Keep the tab in the foreground and avoid changing zoom or moving displays during a sample.
- Read the reported browser observation and its limitations. Retry after any interruption.
How it works & what results mean
How the test works
Understand exposed screen and viewport dimensions. It uses screen/window dimensions; devicePixelRatio. The workspace shows observations from this browser or asks for your own confirmation.
Understanding your result
Screen values are logical CSS pixels. Multiplying by device pixel ratio does not always recover native panel resolution, especially under zoom or privacy protections. CSS/logical dimensions and DPR do not prove physical panel resolution Missing data, blocked permission and an operation that could not run are shown separately. None establishes a hardware fault.

is browser resolution the native panel resolution?
Browser scaling, zoom and privacy controls can change reported dimensions; they do not establish the native panel specification.
